Dog park rules in Urban Honolulu
On Oʻahu most city parks do not allow dogs at all. Dogs are permitted only in parks the Department of Parks and Recreation has designated as leash parks, and may be off leash only inside the designated off-leash dog parks.
- Use a leash of eight feet or less, and keep the dog leashed when entering and exiting an off-leash park.
- Dogs must wear a valid Hawaiʻi dog license tag on the collar.
- Stay inside the off-leash park with your dog and keep it in view; unattended dogs are not allowed.
